Now on with the show.
Our third day in LA was probably one of the most exciting days of the trip. We went o Dreamworks Animation. That place is unbelievable and anyone in the industry should want to work there. It's laid out very similar to a mini collage campus. There are ponds fish and they actually manage to make you forget that your in LA it feels as if someone went out into the woods and setup an animation studio.
Inside it's the life they aren't drones cartooning away it's a nice relaxed enviroment, a fun enviroment, we even got to see H.R.... Lunch is incredible you eat basically whatever you want for free and it's delicious, just a great way to keep morale up which is what they seem to be about. Now due to confidentiality nature of things we did know of an actor there doing voice over work which was suprising.
We got to meet up with 4 OU alumni 3 of which who'd never had any aspirations of becoming animators, which goes to show never say no in LA.
Later in the evening we got to meet up with another Alumni Randall Winston, whose one of the nices guys I've met and really willing to help. He was producer for Scrubs and the inspiration for Turk to Bill Lawrence JD. We were able to see an advance screening of Cougar Town. His main point was to be yourself, people in Hollywood deal with actors all the time so if you aren't being genuine they see right through you. Then fun stuff happened... I got to tour the building we were in with three great friends while the rest of the group just kinda, hung out...
Pretty sure that was the day I saw the dude get tazed by cops at the Target too.
