Walley World.

So going to take an aside to what I normally talk about on the blog.

Because of moving I've been trying some unconventional methods to earn some more cash. $$$ Every dollar helps, especially since nobody seems to think I'm sincere about making my DocuJournal .

So I found this app called Gigwalk.  Usually the job consist of going to a store taking some pictues and verifying that the store is being honest.

Yesterday I signed up for a gig that was about 30 miles away, but the pay was better than usual so I thought what the hell.

The Job was to go to a Walmart sign in as a Vendor, take the Angry Birds Gummies and put them on the shelf.  Fairly straight forward, though one does wonder why a Vendor was required to do this.  So I get there go to customer service inform them that I'm a vendor. I was given a pdf on my phone to show if anyone asked.  NOPE. "Ok sign in here's your badge" I was then left to my own devices, I wasn't even ID'd.  While searching the back for the product I thought hell I'll just ask someone for help.  The guy I approached was really friendly he took me to the office to page someone to help.  Not so much.  He paged the store manager who was pretty upset.  He asked for my Company ID Badge (nope) I showed him the pdf (nope. not on official letterhead(cause that couldn't be faked)) I showed him the app explained what it did and gave him the number for my contact(nope)  And I kind of understand up to this point(though he could have called the contact and verified).  I could have done pretty much anything I wanted with that Vendor badge.

But then he had me escorted to the front where I was kicked out of the store.  On the way up my escort informed me up in columbus some people had gotten a hold of vendor badges and stole. (Again I understand that but I had contact numbers and some paperwork(All of which in physical form could still be faked)) But the kicking out part I felt that was an unnecessary line.  I'd cooperated with them completely, I didn't raise a fuss.

While in the parking lot I called my contact and explained everything (she was upset to say the least) She said I'd still get paid and that's pretty nice.  But wow don't think I'm going after those ones anymore.
