I was thinking of saying something similar to this to the camera while driving down the road of course.
The Road Ahead tells the
story of me, a recent Ohio University graduate as I prepare for the risk of a
lifetime. "Midnight Rider" plays, I look up into the rear view mirror
as my family and friends wave goodbye. The journey is planned, the destination
is set, but nobody knows what life has in store. I'll leave full of hope and
aspiration, but at some point will giving up the safety and security be too
much? If I arrive will all hope be restored? Looking forward I turn the key
taking off on my American Dream.
Graduation grows nearer
everyday and like most student’s I have great hope for what comes next along
with a healthy amount of fear. I’m
headed to LA the city of lights. I’m hoping
to work in film or television. Now I
have measured expectations I don’t expect to become the next Speilberg,
Soderbergh, or Tarintino. I’d be content
with being that guy whose name is sixth after the best boy grip. But this film is about the journey. Navigating the twists and turn of the road
that is life and learn the true meaning of going it alone.
I plan to intersplice that with some nice car footage, after all, it is a road trip movie so the road should be featured. The "trippy" footage I've decided might make for nice night time driving montage, something tells me I may push the drive one night and that could be exactly how I feel while doing it. We'll see but I really like the look, it's not quite what I was going after but I'm still pleased with it. Really hope I can get this done today and post it tomorrow. I saw a less ambitious Road Trip doc from 2012 and they were asking for more funding than I am and exceeded it.
It starts at the 1 minute mark and once it cuts to black it's over (though it goes on for a bit after) forgot to edit after inserting the music track.
We've also done some more planning for the planned school event so I should have more on that soon. Looking at mid April at the moment.
I'm confused by some people that just don't understand what moving means. Here we are in MARCH and the earliest I could move is in May. I get questions like do you have an apartment? Um, no it's MARCH and how exactly am I supposed to look at this place and verify that it isn't a total dump? Do you have a job? Yeah how do I conduct an interview for that job that I could start the earliest two months away? And oh yeah I don't actually know if I'll have the money to move in May it's looking more and more like it'll be pushed back to September. I've gotten these questions from so many people it surprises me. Just sit and think about the question, how are you going to achieve these things in the form you posed them?
Did you know there is a new version of Sailor Moon coming out?
Not my cup of tea I did see it a few times when I was younger I see no difference. Meh
Led Zepplin releasing some new music wonder if it'll make one of the legs of the trip?
Oh I almost forgot.
Jonathan Frakes big thanks.
