I took the camera out last night. It was a bit nerve racking. I really want a shot of driving. I envision it as the camera looking down the highway line centered. So I had to go out and make sure the GoPro I'm borrowing from the school (I'll need my own for the trip) would stay on the car with the Suction mount I bought. I was so terrified it was going to fall off. It held for the 15-45 seconds of footage I was willing to shoot with it. I think the best way to get the shot is to have someone else in the car with me if the Camera falls I can immediately stop and they can guide me on how to move the car without crushing the camera.
My funds are still a mess from the Identity stealing issue and I don't expect them to be straightened out by Wednesday, I also couldn't find anyone local that wanted to travel up to Cleveland with me. Which is unfortunate as I actually like more of Kevin Costner's work than most.
It's ironic in a way, this Doc is about the curve balls life throws at you I haven't even hit the road and quite a few of them are already coming my way. If only I'd seen them coming I could have filmed a few, guess I'll have to wait for that pitch to come straight over the plate and hit a home run instead.
I'm still hoping to get in the car and just go somewhere soon and take all you guys with me. I need a mini escape I figure I'll go as far as a full tank can take me and then grab a bite, do some sight seeing(depending on where), and turn back around.
Back to the Documentary I've got another sequence that I can film here I'm planning to do. I don't want to give too much of it away so here is a hint.
Sorry thought it doesn't involve tricking anything out.
Also you can now name my ride. Nothing profane first person to Donate $3 gets to name the car 2000 Black Ford Mustang it'll be referred to such from here on out.
